Religious Education

Catechesis aims to bring about in the believer a more mature faith in Jesus Christ, a deeper knowledge and love of his person and message, and a firm commitment to follow him. Catechesis must also be concerned with arousing initial faith and sustaining the gradual conversion to Jesus Christ for those on the threshold of faith. With God’s grace, catechesis develops initial faith, nourishes the Christian life, and continually unfolds the mystery of Christ until the believer willingly becomes his disciple.

Classes are held on Wednesday during the school year.
Grades 1-6 meet from 3:15-4:45pm in the Parish Center.
Grades 7-10 meet from 6:30 – 7:45pm in the Parish Center.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word returns! Our youngest parishioners, ages 3-7, are invited to meet at 10:20am in the lower level of Sacred Heart on the SECOND and FOURTH SUNDAYS of the month. They will hear the Gospel in a “kid friendly” manner, pray and do a craft, before joining everyone during the Presentation of the Gifts/Offertory.
